Job purpose:
We seek a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to join our EMEA team and ensure the highest health and safety standards across both our retail and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and fostering a safety culture throughout the organisation.The Health & Safety Manager role sits in the HR Department and is part of the EMEA HR team and reports directly to the SVP, HR| Global for Jimmy Choo, and functionally into the Global Director, Health and Safety and Environmental Compliance | CAPRI.
The position is in the London Head Office, with some international travel when required. This is an intermediate-level position, with the opportunity to develop in the role and gain international Health and Safety experience and skills.What You’ll Do:
This is a very wide and varied role where you will be responsible for:
- In collaboration with SVP, HR |Jimmy Choo and Global Director, HSE| CAPRI define and deliver the JC H&S strategy.
- Partner with senior management, employees and external stakeholders to ensure H&S objectives are met and maintain open communication about H&S matters.
- Provide proactive guidance, support and practical expertise on all H&S matters required to promote a positive and engaged H&S culture across our retail and corporate sites.
- Lead and collaborate on crucial cross-department projects, providing support to the HR team and integrating a safety perspective into every discussion.
- Manage and respond to queries from the retail and corporate teams about the day-to-day safe operations.
- Develop and oversee KPIs and metrics to monitor H&S performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage organisational changes related to H&S, ensuring effective communication, training, and stakeholder support.
- Work with externally appointed H&S consultants to ensure all risk assessments, fire risk assessments, audits, and other country-specific surveys are carried out per the required schedule.
- Lead the H&S training program to ensure store and corporate employees complete the required H&S training at inductions and regular periods.
- Follow up with the stores, Retail Operations and F&M on any remediation actions required following the H&S Consultant visits.
- Monitor legal compliance with International Health and Safety legislation.
- Work closely with Retail Operations, Store Development, Legal, Loss Prevention, Human Resources and other key business partners to better detect, investigate, report and resolve internal and external safety incidents.
- Act as a point of contact with relevant internal and external stakeholders for all safety matters.
- Represent Jimmy Choo as necessary in communication with regulating authorities, acting as the lead competent person for safety.
- Manage H&S Budget.
- Report to the SVP of HR | Jimmy Choo and, Capri HSE Director, and all internal stakeholders regarding health and safety issues and statistics.
- H&S General Certificate (Level 3) as a minimum requirement (NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Member of IOSH or equivalent.
- Previous experience in H&S management with a proven track record of managing H&S in a multi-site organisation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and best practices.
- Motivated self-starter and individual contributor with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Skilled presenter at all levels of the organisation, including senior stakeholders.
- Flexible approach to work while always managing your priorities and workload.
- Language skills: Fluent English written and spoken
- Computer skills: good knowledge of Microsoft Office systems. Good Excel Knowledge is required.
