Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic administrator to join our theatre administration team at NSECH, to help deal with day to day enquiries and support the clinical team with data input. Someone who has good communication and organisational skills when dealing with all members of the MDT, supporting the nursing and medical staff on a daily basis.

They will be expected to submit audit data and manage own workload within the department, using several digital platforms to ensure the correct data is collected and updated on a regular basis. Also working alongside teams external to the department to ensure high standards of patient care are delivered.

Main duties of the job

Assisting in the general efficient running of the theatre reception providing office support to all specialities within the theatre department. office duties include answering telephone calls and queries, filing and photocopying. also maintains stock of printed forms and relevant documentation for the theatre department.

will be asked to collect and submit data for audit and be proficient at using the theatre sapphire data base. in addition to this the administrator would be expected to support the Theatre Team Manager in people management and ESR.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Higher National Diploma and/extensive experience in relevant administrative area
  • RSA Stage III/Word processing or equivalent Experience
Desirable criteria
  • EDL
  • Driving License

Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowlege of a range of computer packages, e.g. ESR, Word, Excel, PAS, NJR, Sapphire System, IPROC and Health roster
  • Must be able to demonstrate the English language proficiency level required for this post
Desirable criteria
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology
