Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a Teacher of Science at Wellsway School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.” We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

About Wellsway School

Wellsway School is a highly successful secondary school and sixth form in Keynsham, near Bath and Bristol. With a supportive community of staff and students, we are committed to excellence in education and fostering a love of learning in every individual.

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of science who, under the guidance of the Director of Science, will teach across the age and ability range. As a teacher at our school, you will be responsible for ensuring that every student enjoys an excellent experience in your lessons and will work closely with the rest of the team in planning and delivering interesting and engaging sequences of lessons.

What You’ll Bring to Futura

We are looking for an inspirational Teacher of Science who:

  • Holds qualified teacher status and is experienced in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4. Specialism at A-Level is desirable.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the age and ability range.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational abilities.
  • Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.
  • Aligns with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to their work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.
