This is the perfect time for a hard-working and experienced Maintenance Engineer, to join our busy Maintenance Team.
So, what's the role about?Working as part of the team, your main responsibilities will be to clean and prepare concrete press tooling for the various products we manufacture at St Ives. Working on a dayshift pattern, the successful applicant will ensure tooling is cleaned and prepared to the correct specification, as well as working closely with other members of the team to set up and remove tooling as required on the presses.
You will ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to, company policies are followed and departmental and site KPI’s are met. Promoting continuous improvement (CI) and using it to better the department and site
Working 42 hours per week, the current shift pattern covers Days, Monday - Sunday
What are the skills required?- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Practical hands-on approach
- The ideal applicant will have a recognised engineering qualification in a mechanical discipline at NVQ 2
- Have significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant
- FLT experience
- Ability to weld (ARC or MIG)
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
