A Primary & Secondary Alternative Provision in the Burnley area is seeking a compassionate and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team. This full-time, temporary role offers the chance to make a real difference in pupils' lives, working in a supportive environment tailored to their needs.
Key Details:
- Location: Burnley
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Pay: £12.90 per hour
- Contract Type: Temporary (for the academic year)
What You'll Do:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning
- Work closely with teachers to support smaller class sizes, designed to build pupils’ confidence and independence
- Help create a positive, nurturing atmosphere for pupils with additional needs
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people with challenging behaviours
- Work in a smaller, focused environment that encourages personal growth and confidence in students
- Make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of pupils who benefit from additional support
