Occupational Health Advisor

OH Medical is partnering with a leading food manufacturer in Wigan to recruit an experienced Occupational Health Advisor for a full-time, permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic work environment within a company that employs thousands of colleagues across its UK manufacturing and distribution network.

• Overseeing health screenings for new starters to ensure compliance with company and statutory standards.
• Implementing and managing health surveillance programs aligned with risk assessment legislation.
• Managing sickness absence referrals, providing expert guidance on rehabilitation, workplace adjustments, or redeployment as needed.
• Ensuring medical records are securely maintained in line with professional and data protection regulations.
• Offering specialist advice on individual health concerns and promoting workplace health initiatives.

• NMC-registered nurse, with successful revalidation every three years.
• Proven occupational health experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting (food manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential).
• A passion for public health, wellbeing, and occupational health advancement, with a willingness to pursue the SCPHN qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and data protection legislation.
• Familiarity with health promotion and workplace health & safety practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive team player with a results-driven mindset.

• £42,000 - £46,000 per annum
• 20% annual bonus
