Rail Construction Manager - Electrification

Your New Role

Transpennine Amey is working in partnership with Network Rail on the Transpennine route upgrade project since 2018 with an increased focus on providing reliable frequent faster and greener railways to the North of England Covering 76 miles of railway between Manchester Leeds York Selby and onto Humberside we lay the foundations covering upgrades to civils track railway systems and electrification to the west of Leeds By completing such works we aim to support Network Rail with cutting carbon emissions and ensuring to deliver a smoother more enjoyable journey to their customers

The standard hours of work are 37 5 hrs with some weekend and nights

• To promote and lead safe working practices ensure full implementation and compliance with safety responsibility statement below
• To adhere to the Amey Essentials (Zero Code PDRs etc ) as applicable
• Responsible for the submission of accurate site records to enable effective monitoring of programme and cost plans as requested to agreed format as applicable
• Ensure that tool box talks task briefs and COSS briefs are carried out for all work tasks prior to commencement of work for allocated contracts
• Ensure that all allocated tasks are undertaken in accordance with the planned safe method of working
• Ensure all appropriate paperwork is in place before any activities on site reporting lines are followed and correct information relayed to inform the wider project and OLE seniors
• All possession and whiteboard information is received for the planned works
• Undertake regular site inspection reports and safety tours and feed the results into the OLE HSEQ team
• The role requires attendance on site with occasional office attendance It is a requirement of the role to attend site when required (including weekends and or night shifts) to deliver allocated works within the TRU OLE contract
• Oversee sub-contractors contract staff and contingent direct labour for allocated site activities
• Ensure attendance at Team briefs safety sand downs HSEQ events and all appropriate courses that aid development and wider learning
• Ensure attendance or suitable reps for all T-minus meetings and integrated programme reviews

• Detailed understanding of all foundation types for the Electrified railway environment knowledge of design and installation regarding bespoke foundations viaduct and wall type fixings integral wall and rock formation solutions
• Ability to support CEMs CREs in constructability reviews work in conjunction with Project Managers in continually reviewing programmes for delivery
• Previous experience or exposure working in major rail projects preferably in alliance or a collaborative multidisciplinary environment
• Fully versed on rail HSEQ
• COSS &ndash Preferred
• PTS
• Full UK Driving License
