Teacher of Physics
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and engaging science teacher to join our fantastic school. The successful candidate will work within an ambitious, vibrant and high performing department to instil a love of science in all students.
The department runs multiple A-Level classes in each of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science. An ability to teach Physics to A-Level would be expected of the successful candidate. Students routinely make excellent progress at GCSE and A-Level across each of the various courses and there is a strong track-record of large numbers of students going on to study science-related courses at university.
The department is equipped with a large prep room, which provides a central hub for 11 new labs, each with the latest touchscreen technology and practical facilities.
What the school offers its staff

We have a fantastic new learning environment, supported by cutting edge technology, and huge opportunities for the future.
As a result of excellent teaching, our students consistently achieve fantastic academic outcomes at both GCSE and A-Level. “Behaviour is exemplary in lessons and around the school.” which means the school has a calm atmosphere and students are ready to learn."Pupils are polite, well-mannered and kind.” and “are ambassadors for the school, demonstrating excellent behaviours in all that they do.” (Ofsted 2023)
Our vast list of extra-curricular activities and trips means students engage positively with school and represent our values with pride. Staff turnover is low, as they feel well-supported and enjoy working here, with many choosing the school for their own children.
