Quality Manager

• Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 based on experience

My client supply high-quality services to the Defence, Aerospace, and Oil & Gas sectors. They are currently seeking a Quality Manager to lead their Inspection Team who are focused on precision engineering excellence

Day-to-day of the role:

• Maintain the company AS9100 Certification, all Customer Approvals, and the Company QMS.
• Ensure adherence to all Company Procedures.
• Collate and report Quality KPI’s to the Senior Management Team.
• Identify trends to facilitate continuous improvement activities to reduce the cost of poor quality and improve delivered quality to customers.
• Investigate Internal Non-Conformances promptly and implement robust preventative actions.
• Lead the Inspection Team and manage Internal Audits.
• Conduct Quality Awareness Sessions and maintain customer dialogue regarding quality issues.
• Host external Audits and liaise with other group company quality functions on best practice matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• HND/HNC in manufacturing or equivalent experience.
• AS9100 qualified auditor (internal or external).
• Proven track record of Quality Management in a similar role.
• Detailed knowledge of AS9100 and Six Sigma Quality Tools (5y, 8D, Ishikawa, Pareto).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Organised with a keen eye for detail and an analytical approach to decision-making/problem-solving.
• Ability to act as a mentor/trainer in relation to process improvements.
• Customer-facing professionalism.

Working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.
