Payroll Assistant
Role Summary:
As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing payroll and expenses for designated business units, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and company policies. You will work closely with colleagues and customers to maintain high standards of customer service and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll and expenses accurately and on time.
- Verify and validate expense claims.
- Provide support and advice to HR and employees regarding payroll matters.
- Ensure compliance with new policies and legislative changes.
- Respond to queries from employees and external bodies promptly.
- Identify and escalate risks and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and improve standard payroll procedures.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training.
Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSE Maths and English (A-C grade).
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with computerised payroll applications, preferably ResourceLink.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
