Role Overview
The successful candidate will be teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 if experienced. You’ll play a key role in supporting the school’s mission to deliver high-quality education through engaging lessons and personalised learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential to teach KS5 for experienced candidates)
- Plan and deliver stimulating, high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
- Assess, track, and report on student progress to support academic success
- Collaborate with the Science department to share best practices and enhance the curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and learning
- Participate actively in school initiatives that contribute to overall student development and well-being
Candidate Profile
We’re seeking a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Science or a related subject. You should have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4, with experience or willingness to teach KS5 seen as a plus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Science and the ability to inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in the subject.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field)
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels
- Strong classroom management skills and an engaging teaching style
- Commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting student achievement
