What You Will Do:

The Data Architect will report to a Head of Engineering, responsible for Data and Reporting platform.

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design, implement and maintain our organization's data strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and secure, supporting critical business decisions for our customers.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding and proven hands on experience of data modeling, warehousing, and integration, coupled with a strong business acumen.

A crucial part of the role is to own, create and maintain a master data catalogue and consolidated data mart across our portfolio of products.

Additionally, this person will be responsible for:

  • Develop and maintain the organization's data architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and data marts to support reporting and analytics.
  • Oversee data integration processes, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management technologies and tools.
  • Ensure data quality and governance by implementing data standards and policies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging data technologies.

The role requires an individual with very strong data modelling, analysis and warehousing skills. The role holder will be able to work across Product Engineering teams and business stakeholders to understand and consolidate different domains and business requirements.

Experience/Knowledge You Will Need:

The candidate should ideally have the following knowledge and experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect with a strong track record of successful implementations.
  • Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proven experience of industry leading data platform (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Experience with data governance and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams in different global regions.

Desirable:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in data architecture or related fields.
  • Hands on experience of Databricks
  • Hands on experience of Power BI
