Head of Finance
You will support the Director of Finance and Resources in the delivery of the organisation's strategy and operation of the internal financial governance, processes and procedures. Salary: £74,775 per annumContract: 35 hours per week, full time, permanent This is an exciting time to join this ambitious and growing organisation.
Some of your key duties and responsibilities are; Oversee the annual financial cycle of work to manage and prepare the annual budgets, monthly management accounts and consolidated statutory financial accountsPrepare financial report papers for the Finance and Resources Board and Board of Trustees, auditors as requiredOversee and manage the financial processesOversee and manage Treasury management acting as main contact for College bankersBeing the Business and advice the Directors, service heads and other budget holders and TrusteesAsset Management and budgetingStrategic project participation and being responsible for external audit provision, managing contracts and develop the new ledger so it remains fit for purpose Candidates applying for this role must have the following: A recognised CCAB qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)Knowledgeable on Charity SORPVery strong project management experience - preparation of statutory accounts and also for projects that enhance the IT capability of the finance functionManaging and empowering the Finance teamExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to influenceExperience working in the NFP or charity sectorVery strong leadership and team management skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, senior influencers and other stake holdersAbility to analyse and present complex data and make recommendations for action / improvementCommercial awarenessExperience of effective operational planning and budgeting The detailed JD will be shared with you, if you are suitable for this role.
