All Hallows is an 11-18 Catholic College with a strong moral and spiritual ethos. The Governors invite applications for the post of College Chaplain from practising Catholics in good standing with the Church. The College Chaplain provides spiritual and pastoral support to students and staff of the College.This position is seen as crucial in fulfilling the College's mission. The Christian faith and commitment of the College Chaplain will play a central role in bearing witness to this mission and maintaining the distinctive Catholic nature of the College.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chaplain, youth retreat/ministry worker or teacher to engage with our young people to help them explore their faith. Having a strong faith and commitment as well as being a practising Catholic is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a sound understanding of the Catholic faith and how to share it with others
- Enjoy working with young people and adults
- Have good communication skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of people, including students, parents and carers, teachers and clergy
The successful candidate will also help develop strategy and approach to faith by working with other Chaplains, across the diocese.
