Associate Director

Aon has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Financial Lines team, which forms part of our Global Broking Centre.

This role will suit an insurance broker, who is looking to take on more client responsibility. It involves co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Financial Institutions business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis in accordance with Marketing Strategy.

This is a Hybrid role that will involve some office and home-based working.

What the day will look like
  • Review Submission
  • Lead quote broking / Follow market broking
  • Present terms to client / network
  • Firm Order broking (PPL / email)
  • Record broking activity in market sheets
  • Review draft / final MRC
  • Send Cover confirmation to client/network
  • Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients
  • Client meetings
  • Respond to A/C queries
  • Establish and manage pipeline
  • Working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience gained within the insurance industry at either a Broker or Insurer
  • Technical Insurance knowledge across Financial Lines
  • Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes
  • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
  • Experience of managing effective client relationships.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
