Based in Northampton the school have excellent transportation links for both drivers and those that would require to use public transport. A 30 minute commute from surrounding areas such as Milton Keynes. Including various bus options, a lovely cycling route to the school and a large car park.

They have been rated a ‘Good school’ by Ofsted with great facilities in the school for teaching.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a dynamic and engaging Spanish curriculum
  • Mentor and support a team of Spanish teachers, providing guidance, resources, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Promote cross-cultural awareness and appreciation by integrating authentic cultural experiences, literature, and media into the curriculum.
  • Oversee the assessment and tracking of student progress in Spanish, ensuring that assessments are meaningful, fair, and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments
  • Monitor departmental budget and resources effectively, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization to support teaching and learning goals.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Fully Qualified Teacher status
  • Degree in Spanish or a related field
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, with a deep understanding of Spanish language, literature, and culture.
  • Leadership experience or potential, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving positive change.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Creative and innovative approach to curriculum design and delivery, with a commitment to student-centered learning.
