If this matches your educational vision, then this is the perfect time to join the Mathematics department, which consists of our team of 6 teachers in 6 dedicated teaching rooms. Mathematics is one of the many strengths of the school and is one of our most popular A Level choices, with a significant number of students applying for Mathematics, Engineering, Natural Sciences and other related degrees.

Further Mathematics is a popular choice in the Sixth Form and the ability to teach some of this content would be an asset. We provide full support for those teachers who would be teaching A Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics for the first time.

At KS4 we follow Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics A, Higher Tier specification, and around a third of the Year 11 cohort also sit the AQA Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics, many in preparation for continued study of Mathematics in the Sixth Form.
At A Level we deliver the OCR A Mathematics and Further Mathematics specifications. Our GCSE and A Level results are outstanding, as you would expect from an academically selective school with high aspirations for all pupils. At King Henry’s however, we believe there is so much more to education than simply exam results.

The department believes strongly in enrichment and extension and in all our teaching we aim to build critical thinking, confidence, independence and a love of Mathematics.

Teamwork plays an important role within the Department: the staff love to enhance the experience of the students by sharing good practice, resources and ideas. We are looking for a well-qualified graduate to join this exceptional department who shares our vision, is passionate about Mathematics and who will bring their own individuality to this warm and supportive team.
