Sacco Mann are currently working with a highly regarded national firm who are seeking a Insurance Fraud Fee Earner to join their counter-fraud team in Bolton, which is the largest and longest-established team of its kind in the UK.Sacco Mann are currently working with a highly regarded national firm who are seeking a Insurance Fraud Fee Earner to join their counter-fraud team in Bolton, which is the largest and longest-established team of its kind in the UK.
The File Handler will deal with litigated claims on a Delegated Authority basis on behalf of their Insurer Clients, while working closely with the Team Leader and Lead Lawyer.The caseload will contain a variety of suspected fraudulent insurance claims, such as bogus passenger, fraudulent exaggeration, induced accidents and more.
Essential Skills:
Experience in civil litigation claims handing or suitably qualified ILEX, LPC etc.Experience of handling RTA pre-litigated and / or litigated case load
An understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes, together with indemnity principles
Knowledge of the litigation process, the CPR, relevant Personal Injury Protocols and working platforms/portals
Forensic and analytical approach to evidence
High level of commercial awareness related to fixed fee work
People with strong litigation skills and experience in RTA may also be considered to retrain into Fraud.
Main responsibilities:
Run fraud cases from the point of litigation through to the resolution of the caseSetting the case strategy on files and ensuring adherence to any KYO or generic strategies that may be put in place by the lead lawyer and technical leads.
Identifying strategic litigation opportunities
Running files in accordance with agreed client guidelines
Liaising with all appropriate involvements on the case
Dealing pro-actively with the case investigations and strategy from receipt until point of resolution
