We have an opportunity for an ambitious pharmacy technician to join the West Essex Community Health Services Team as an integral member of theEssex Partnership University Trust(EPUT) Pharmacy Service for one day per week as a medicines management technician.

If you are looking for part-time working in a responsible and challenging post and an opportunity to liaise with the multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment, this could be the role for you.You will work 7.5 hours per week, working either on a Monday or Friday or a combination of both.

The post includes participation in the weekend and bank holiday dispensary rota, and there may be opportunity to work additional hours elsewhere within the pharmacy team, as part of our staff bank.

Applications from all areas of pharmacy will be considered but you must be a self-motivated and adaptable pharmacy technician with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills in order to take on this rewarding post.

Your role will involve delivering a medicines optimisation service in order to provide high quality, efficient pharmaceutical care to patients across our four community health services in-patient wards in West Essex and you will work closely with both the wider pharmacy team and the integrated ward teams to develop new ways of working and improve medicines optimisation.

Ideally you will have a recognised medicines management qualification although training and support will be provided for you if not, as required.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
