Ashfield School is renowned for high standards of teaching, behaviour and academic achievement as well as for its outstanding SEND provision, respected across Nottinghamshire. One of the largest schools in England (2700 on role), staff work together each day to support, inspire and challenge students to give their best in our safe, happy and ambitious working environment.

Our most recent Ofsted report endorsed the incredibly positive and inclusive culture across the school. Ashfield School is a great place to work and as part of the DFE school re-building project we will move into brand new buildings over the next few years. We are located close to the A38 and M1 and there is a large free staff car park. Facilities across the large school site are excellent with numerous social and workspaces, staff specific catering and sporting facilities all available.

The role:

Ashfield School are looking to appoint a second full time SENCO to work alongside our existing and highly experienced and respected SENCO to add capacity to our strong, hardworking and very effective team. The collective aim will be to lead the continued delivery of a high quality SEND provision across this large and inclusive school.

The person:

The successful candidate will have the passion, commitment and ability to champion the progress of our wonderful SEND students across the school. The post holder will either hold the relevant SENCO qualification or be willing to work towards achieving the SENCO qualification in the first year of employment.
