Bookkeeper | Sheffield | £40,000 - £45,000

The Opportunity

Longstanding manufacturing SME based in Sheffield have a requirement for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team as a result of continued success and expansion.

It’s a chance for you to really add value to a forward thinking business and provide real time, accurate monthly management accounts / MI to senior management.

You will be the sole finance contact, acting as a financial sounding board to senior management and taking responsibility for keeping the day to day financial management and reporting / controls in place and streamlined.

This is a role for someone who excels within a dynamic SME setting and understands the need for a hands-on Bookkeeper.

You will be responsible for:

• VAT returns
• Assisting with year end reporting
• Sales Ledger
• Purchase Ledger
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Accurate monthly reporting (cashflow, budgeting, forecasting)

You will need:

• Demonstrable experience within a similar role in an SME environment
• To be comfortable in an autonomous role with self motivation and strong time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• To have a proactive approach to workload, with the ability to streamline and continuously improve processes and controls where necessary
