This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or developing manager to join Wirral Mental Health Support Teams (MHST), to support the clinical leads and coordinators to operationalise and manage various elements of the MHST project, including the development and implementation of our newest MHST that will be working with 8 secondary schools.

Applicants will have experience of planning and developing team functioning activities, including HR and budgeting. They should have demonstrable project management skills, with experience of successful completion of projects, and have experience of managing high performing teams who deliver services successfully and to a high quality.

Mental Health Support Team in schools are a government initiative aimed at providing high quality, low intensity evidence-based support to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, and while it is not essential that applicants have worked in young people mental health services, a good level of understanding of the initiative is expected.

Ideally this is a permanent part-time post.

Within this role the successful applicant will be expected to work with a wide range of multidisciplinary professionals and demonstrate a high level of communication skills in a range of different environments, such as reporting to NHS England at regional and national meetings, induction of new staff, meeting with neighbouring services and partner agencies as well as providing line management supervision to staff and dealing with all aspects of recruitment, budget management and being involved in service development.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
