We are currently on the lookout for an Architectural Technologist to join a multi-disciplinary award-winning Architectural Practice based in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to develop their career within an ambitious team.
The successful Architectural Technologist will be working within the Commercial and Retail sector so it would be beneficial to have some experience within similar projects, although not essential. Our client is ideally looking for an individual that has an excellent working knowledge of the Planning Permission process and current Building Regulations.The successful candidate has the opportunity to progress to detailed design and project delivery roles once the client needs are fully understood. Working alongside a team, the client and directly for the contractor our client offer a wide career experience covering all aspects of project design and delivery support.
It is essential to have a good knowledge of Revit / AutoCAD for this position.

Architectural Technologist Position Overview- Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
- Work alongside Senior members of staff
- Work on Retail and commercial projects across all RIBA stages
- Produce detailed technical construction information on the project
- Prepare and develop drawings, models and images, and other documents related to design
- Report to the directors on the progress of projects
- Prepare and present design proposals using AutoCAD/Revit and other design software, as well as traditional drawing methods
- Liaise with appropriate authorities when producing documentation for statutory approval
- Living within commutable distance of Guildford
- Excellent Revit & AutoCAD knowledge
- Motivated & team player
- Happy traveling to site
- Experience in the Commercial or Retail sectors (Advantageous)
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations and the Planning Permission Process
- Well Rounded Experience & Knowledge within the Architectural & Construction Industry
- Minimum of 2 year's professional working experience in a UK practice
- Competitive salary (£28,000 - £35,000 DOE)
