Junior Fashion Designer - Womenswear

Junior Fashion Designer *Advertised by OA Fashion & Retail/ West End branch

We are currently seeking a creative and dynamic Junior Fashion Designer to join their team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for fashion and a keen eye for the latest trends.

Our client is a fast-growing fashion brand known for its trend-setting styles.

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum

Working Hours: Full-time, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop fashion items in line with our client's brand identity and target market.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure designs are produced accurately and meet quality standards.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours, and shapes.
• Prepare CADS, tech packs, and presentations for new collections.
• Attend Fit Sessions and provide fit comments to Suppliers
• Assist in the selection of suitable fabrics and trims.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in fashion design, ideally in a fast fashion environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
• Excellent drawing skills with an attention to detail in garment styling and construction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid changes.
• Knowledge in print design.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
