Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Job Opportunity – Sports Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Teaching Assistant to support students in the Brynmawr area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children aged 11-16, who are interested in helping children reach their full potential.Whether you have experience in coaching, working with children, or supporting extracurricular activities, we encourage applicants with diverse experience to apply.
As a Sports Teaching Assistant we would also require you to be predominantly classroom based as you will play a key role in supporting both the academic and also the physical development of students. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with lesson plans and deliver enriching activities to engage students during lessons.
- Supervise and support students, both in the classroom and during lunch/break times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing on the playground.
- Interact with students during PE lessons and help with lunchtime sports clubs, such as football coaching or gymnastics lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra assistance to help them stay on track academically.
What We Require:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a role working with children is preferred, though not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Strong communication and literacy skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
