Senior Research Nurse | Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Our surgical portfolio includes Upper GI, Urology, ENT, Breast, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Colorectal, Anaesthetics, and Plastics. This post holder will be required to coordinate and deliver on studies, running over all 3 of our hospital sites.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.
You will possess excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills in order to support patients and work effectively with colleagues while also raising the profile of research within the Trust. You will be required to collaborate closely with leading investigators and clinical research fellows along with other research team members and the wider multidisciplinary team.You will be required to manage your own workload and that of junior members of the team. A proactive, flexible and solution orientated approach is essential.
The post-holder will be part of a dynamic team, working closely alongside clinical colleagues and be competent to work independently as well as part of a team.

- As a Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse you will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in research.
- This will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of research participants and the collection and documentation of accurate data.
- You will work collaboratively with the research team and the wider multidisciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of research patients.
- You will act as a knowledgeable resource for staff, researchers, research participants and patients, alongside a working knowledge and compliance with local, national and international research regulations.
- You will contribute to the development of local policies related to all aspects of the research process and contribute to the training and supervision of staff and researchers
- You will contribute to nurse-led research.
