Receptionist / Administrator – Full Time, All Year Round

We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our friendly and supportive team as a Receptionist / Administrator. This is a key front-facing role, acting as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, while also providing vital administrative support across the school and wider organisation.
About the role
Reporting to the Office Manager, you will support the efficient day-to-day running of the main office. You will manage reception duties, coordinate communication across the school, and contribute to a wide range of administrative processes.
As part of the shared services team, you will also play an important role in supporting school systems, including maintaining accurate pupil records within the MIS (Arbor), assisting with attendance processes, and providing general administrative support to staff and leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors, calls, and enquiries
- Managing reception, ensuring safeguarding and sign-in procedures are followed
- Supporting pupil attendance processes and maintaining accurate records
- Coordinating internal communications (including radio calls)
- Managing post, deliveries, and visitor logistics across the site
- Supporting hospitality for meetings and events
- Providing administrative support across the school, including emails, correspondence, reporting, and reprographics
- Maintaining and supporting the school MIS (Arbor), including data accuracy, reporting, and user support
- Assisting with events, trips, transport arrangements, and school-wide activities
- Contributing to the smooth running of office systems and processes
About you
We are looking for an experienced, organised and customer-focused administrator with excellent communication and IT skills, able to manage a varied workload, work collaboratively, and remain calm and professional in a busy environment while supporting young people with SEND.Experience in an educational setting or with school systems (e.g. Arbor or SIMS) is desirable, but not essential - training will be provided for the right candidate.
Salary for 37 hours per week is £25,989 - £26,824 per annum dependent upon experience. This is a full time, all year-round permanent position. 08:00–16:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00–15:30 Friday.
