Job description: Social care opportunity for a Personal Assistant to assist a young family. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is essential to refer to these when submitting an application and advise of the days/hours you are available.

Job purpose: I am a mum to two young boys and would like a Personal Assistant who can transport myself and my children to and from their nursery on Thursday’s and Friday’s because I am unable to drive. I would also like help cleaning the family home, occasionally assisting with food shopping and any other duties that I am unable to complete at the time.

I live with Fibromyalgia, which is a widespread nerve pain, along with chronic fatigue, and hyper mobility. Every day is different, which affects my ability to carry out domestic tasks for my family. We live in a 3 storey town house so you must be able to manage stairs and carry out some heavier lifting.Location: Downham Market

Duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:

Transporting us to and from Nursery.- Domestic tasks which require heavier lifting including cleaning, hoovering, washing, dishwasher.- Occasionally assisting with food shopping.
Garden maintenance such as mowing.

Person Specification:Essential:

Able to use stairs
Confident with large dogs (Huskey & rescue dog)- Full UK Driving Licence
Use of own vehicle with appropriate business use insurance - willing to travel with young baby/toddler.
Able to listen and follow instructions
Adaptable and flexible
Friendly and understanding

Desirable:

Cleaning experience

Summary Terms and Conditions:- The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 p/h.- Hours and times of work as follows: Minimum 6 hours per week including 7.45-9.00am and 4.30-5.30pm Thursdays and Fridays. More hours may be available. Days and times to be discussed at interview.- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.- Annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.- If this job requires Manual Handling, Handling of Hazardous Chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.
