Requirements for the Unit Nurse Manager role:
- Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN)
- Nursing Home experience essential
- Active NMC PIN
- Clear DBS
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Good working knowledge of CQC regulations
- Proven track record of leading a Nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning

The role of a Unit Nurse Manager within the Nursing Home involves:
- Being responsible for leading, directing and supporting the Nursing and Care team
- Managing rotas, ensuring there is sufficient cover at all times
- Actively recruit and maintain good staffing levels
- Mentoring junior members of staff
- Ensuring all staff complete mandatory and required training
- Carrying out staff supervisions and appraisals
- Ensuring Unit is compliant with CQC and internal policies
- Managing and monitor medication processes and compliance
- Completing all relevant audits to ensure internal and external compliance
