Our client is a national main contractor with turnover in excess of £500million with a strong business and brand in Scotland built over decades of exceptional project delivery. With some exciting projects in the pipeline, they are ready to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their business.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working with an experienced Managing Surveyor and Commercial Director on the delivery of projects up to a value of £30million. These projects are generally focused on education, commercial or high technology and require a well-rounded QS to deliver them efficiently.You will be involved in this project from start to finish, including the tender stage.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be from a main contracting background and will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying. You will have experience of delivering building projects as a Project QS or Senior QS of over £5million and have a good knowledge of publicly funded projects and their commercial elements such as contracts, procurement channels and reporting.Candidates with experience of working on projects with clean rooms, labs and other hi-tec elements will also be of serious interest. This role is central belt based, and our clients are happy to offer an agile work solution but will expect you to spend most of your time between site and office.
