Can you work effectively with a focus on customer service and care?If yes, then we'd love to hear from you…What we offer:At Victim Support we believe in attracting & retaining the best people and offer a competitive rewards & benefits package including:Flexible working options including hybrid working28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising to 33 days plus Bank HolidaysAn extra day off for your birthdayPension with 5% employer contributionEnhanced sick pay allowances & maternity paymentsHigh Street, retail, holiday, entertainment & leisure discountsAccess to our financial wellbeing hub & salary deducted financeEmployee assistance programme & wellbeing supportOngoing training & support with opportunities for career development & progressionAbout the role:This role is home-based, but will require extensive travel across Wiltshire and Swindon to attend in-person meetings and work from various community hubs.- Ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime and retain and develop contracts for services by supporting and managing operational staff- Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and management team, in order to achieve the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service- Proactively promote the service, raise awareness of services & work with professionals collaboratively to improve the access to and quality of servicesYou will need:An understanding of the Criminal justice system and the impact of crime on victims and witnessesAn understanding of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessmentsA practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirementsExperience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service deliveryDemonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focusExcellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals.Please see attached Job Description and Person Specification for further details.About Us:Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity providing a range of specialist services to people who have been affected by crime across England and Wales.
