What you’ll be doing?- Assume the role of Responsible Pharmacist at the dispensing facility and support the dispensary team with any queries
- Ensure all NHS and private prescriptions received are clinically checked for dosage and safety
- Make sure that all queries on patient prescriptions are communicated to customer service within the SLA
- Ensure that all responses from customer service are received within the agreed SLA to ensure patient safety
- Advise patients on adverse side effect, interactions, and minor ailments
- Adhere to all legal, ethical, professional and company requirements
- Completing a range of additional pharmacist tasks including reviewing dispensing incidents
- Working within a high-volume environment
- Meeting set targets for individuals and team to meet business targets
- Working with key teams across the business (customer service, purchasing, operations & clinical department)
- Be a GPhC-registered pharmacist with a Pharmacy degree and a strong commitment to clinical excellence.
- Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and high levels of accuracy in all aspects of dispensing and clinical checking.
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with confidence in dealing with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Be IT literate, with experience using pharmacy or healthcare systems and a working knowledge of Excel (intermediate level).
- Be proactive and self-motivated, capable of managing their own workload and using initiative to resolve issues.
- Be able to prioritise effectively, particularly when working under pressure or to tight deadlines.
- Show a genuine desire to learn and develop, with an ambition to grow their career within a forward-thinking organisation.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of professional conduct, always acting with integrity and showing respect to others.
