Operations Specialist Project Manager, Health Technologies Programme
Based in Manchester with hybrid-working
The Operations Specialist Project Manager will work within HealthTech programme and will be responsible for leading key operational activities and priority development projects in the HealthTech area, ensuring that deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed of progress whilst delivering results.
The Operations Specialist and Project Manager will lead HealthTech scoping and oversee improvements to guidance project timeline via Continuous Quality Framework (CQI) and other process improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma.

Main duties of the job
The Operations Specialist Project Manager will work across a large portfolio of operational programmes, organisational operational priorities, project management and will be responsible for the successful delivery of national guidance to the NHS to process, time and quality.
As the first point of contact for key development projects and operational programmes, the Operation Specialist Project Manager plays a key role in coordinating Institute staff and input from a wide range of external stakeholders

The Centre for Health Technology Evaluation develops guidance on the use of new and existing medicines, treatments and procedures within the NHS.Under the leadership of the Director for HealthTech, the HealthTech programme selects and assesses medical devices, digital health technologies and novel diagnostic products, and develops guidance and advice on the clinical and cost-efficient use of these products for the NHS and its social care partners.

Qualification/experience
Essential criteria- First Degree relevant to the role or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and further training/development in business operations and project management
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Prince 2 and / or Agile practitioner or relevant project management qualification
Qualifications
Desirable criteria- Lean Six Sigma and/ or Quality Improvement, Process Mapping qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria- Significant experience in the planning, management and delivery of complex multiple projects or programmes involving multidisciplinary teams and delivering results

Essential criteria- Significant experience as an Operational Specialist and/ or Project Manager in an operational and / or agile environment

Essential criteria- Evidence of effective and persuasive communicator demonstrating oral, and written skills (i.e., business cases, reports) with a high degree of personal credibility
