Job overview

Lambourn Grove is a Continuing Care unit in St. Albans. We look after service users with a diagnosis of dementia classed as having complex needs. We have a person centred and holistic approach and are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our team.

You will be working in a large team and with different disciplines. You will be taking charge, delegating and prioritising your work. You will be named nurse to service users. You will be doing medications. You will be teaching students.

Person specification

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria
  • Academic qualifications - RNMH/RNLD/RMN
  • Membership of professional bodies - NMC
Desirable criteria
  • ENB 998/Mentorship
  • Completion of management training
  • Teaching/training experience

AREAS OF EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential criteria
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a management structure
  • Communication skills – written, verbal and non-verbal
  • IT skills, in particular MS word
Desirable criteria
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Provision of effective clinical supervision
