To work in the community attending 999 calls and using clinical expertise to appropriately outcome these in the best interests of the patient and demands of emergency services. Substantial experience and confidence in the assessment and appropriate management of risk.
To work alongside the MHUT as part of the MHJRV service to provide an effective and efficient response to referrals from GMP and NWAS. To support service users to access the right care at the right time in the least restrictive way, reducing system pressures across emergency services, our locality EDs and S136 suites.
To provide urgent response to mental health related 999 calls using assessment, formulation and decision making skills to ascertain risk, self defined crisis and next steps. To complete mental health assessments following triage for those presenting with acute mental health needs.
To strengthen working relationships between agencies on the front line providing mutual education and sharing insight into available local resource and support for local services users. To provide advice in the management of complex cases for our NWAS and GMP colleagues.
