Full time - 35 hours per week
Fixed term contract - 30 months
The Opportunity:
This is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in which you will work to elucidate the cellular and molecular mechanisms of cardiac and vascular development and regeneration. Your main role will be to use lab techniques to assess, especially but not exclusively, the role of protein posttranslational modifications in in-vivo and in-vitro models of cardiac and vascular injury.
This post is fixed-term, full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We expect this role to be mainly based on-site, however, we are open to considering requests for hybrid working that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology or similar) with relevant post-graduate research experience and accumulated knowledge.A PhD or equivalent in cardiovascular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, physiology or a related discipline.
Prior expertise and knowledge of subject area and techniques.
Tight time management skills and effective communication.
Independent working ability.
