English Teacher
Teacher of English – Full-Time – Oldham
Due to a long-term absence in the English department, a well-regarded secondary school in Oldham is urgently seeking a qualified English teacher to join their team. This full-time role starts immediately and will continue until at least the end of the academic year, with the strong possibility of a permanent position from September 2025.
You will be responsible for teaching English at KS3 and GCSE, including planning, marking, and delivering engaging lessons in line with departmental guidance.
The school maintains high academic standards and excellent student behaviour. Conveniently located near central Oldham, the school is easily accessible from surrounding areas including Manchester, Rochdale, and Tameside, with excellent public transport links and easy access to the M60 and A62.
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent
- Experience delivering English at KS3/KS4
- Full-time availability until July
- A passion for teaching and the ability to engage and inspire students
