We are willing to offer a Locum Consultant post to a suitable candidate whilst they progress though the CESR pathway. The candidate must be able to demonstrate clear progress towards CESR, with agreed objectives reviewed on a six-monthly basis.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Dermatologist to join the dynamic team who are central to implementing change within the service to ensure the foundations are laid for a thriving and successful Humberwide partnership for Dermatology services across the region

Person specification

Higher Qualification

• MRCP or equivalent qualification
• Entry on Specialist Register CCST in Dermatology or within 6 months of interview date

• Higher Medical Degree / MD or PhD

Relevant Experience

• Demonstrate competence at relevant level to take up Consultant post

• Specialty interest
• Experience in research

Clinical Skills

• Assessment of full range of dermatological conditions with knowledge of appropriate treatment and follow up
• Minor dermatological surgery

Management Skills

• Ability to organise ward rounds/clinical/discharges
• Time Management

• Familiarity with IT

Audit Skills

• To have completed a recent audit project
• Participation in Regional Audits

Teaching Skills/ Publications

• Familiarity with recent important publications

• Teaching SHO's, Nurses, GP's
• Teaching Skills Course
• Research Publications

Personal/Physical Skills

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
