Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Salary: £9,252 rising to £9,446 per annum (Full time equivalent £22,824 rising to £23,302 per annum) (Professional Services Grade 4 & 4a)
Job Type: Permanent, Part Time (15 hours per week/52 weeks per year)(Monday & Wednesday 8.30-17.00)

As an IT Technician, you'll be working at the intersection of education and technology, ensuring seamless operations and contributing to the delivery of exceptional learning experiences for our students. Your role will involve providing expert technical support, maintaining hardware and software systems, and troubleshooting issues to keep our classrooms, labs, and administrative systems running smoothly.

IT Technician - Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer frontline IT support to staff and students, resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, networks, and software.
  • Ensure that classrooms, labs, and offices are equipped with fully functional IT equipment.
  • Support system upgrades, data backups, and network security measures.
  • Collaborate on innovative IT projects that enhance the digital learning environment.
  • Provide training to staff and students on new technologies and systems.
  • Work closely with the college IT team to ensure high availability of all IT services.

IT Technician - You:

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for technology and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues.
  • Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and network management.
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Great communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues and students.
  • An NVQ Level 3 or above qualification within a relevant subject.
