Compass Group is undergoing a major transformation of its in-unit technology and processes, aiming to enhance efficiency, empower teams, and deliver more value to customers. The Communications Lead will be pivotal in managing program communications, fostering understanding and adoption of new ways of working across the business.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation Programme Delivery, the Communications Lead will develop and oversee communication strategies that drive change, ensuring alignment with Compass Group’s strategic vision and values.

As Communications Lead you will craft and execute a cohesive communication strategy for Compass’s transformation initiatives. Working closely with the Head of Transformation Programme Delivery, you’ll champion clear and consistent messaging across all channels, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, promoting change, and ensuring alignment with Compass values.

The Communications Lead will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a robust communications strategy for large-scale transformation initiatives, aligning with business goals and ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Delivering transparent messaging to promote adoption, manage crisis communications, and lead employee engagement initiatives throughout the program.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior leaders, project teams, and other key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and driving buy-in for transformation goals.
  • Providing regular updates on communication effectiveness, milestones, risks, and opportunities, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Cultivating a high-performance culture, supporting change engagement champions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Ensuring Compass Group’s values are embedded in all communications, fostering a positive, engaged workplace aligned with transformation goals.The successful Communications Lead will:
  • Extensive experience in managing enterprise-level communication plans, ideally within a global organization.
  • Strong skills in project management and stakeholder engagement, with proficiency in Agile or PRINCE2 methodologies.

  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative, adaptable, and results-driven approach.
