Role Summary:

Supporting the Carrier Management team and the business, the Carrier Coordinator will hold relationships with carriers and stakeholders across our inbound and outbound supply chain. This role is critical in supporting, developing and optimising our supply chain by collaborating with internal and service partners to reflect performance with transparency and robust data.
The Carrier Coordinator will support the team with building and maintaining credibility by keeping accurate and up to date rate cards and performance data to foster trust and goodwill within the organisation and our partners. You will support the Carrier Management and procurement team on tenders and long-term contracts, and niche or ad hoc carriers, and with the import and shipping managers on refining carrier performance reporting.

You will utilise and develop business analysis and networking skills to support projects with new partners, or new initiatives with current partners.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Build and maintaining simplified views of rate cards, managing validity and cadence of communication with finance partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the pricing teams within and outbound carriers, drawing Inbound/Outbound Ops, procurement and the Carrier Management team as needed
  • Manage contract renewal deadlines, seek out opportunities to achieve cost savings and improved service levels
  • Support project delivery – e.g. new carrier or service set up. Running smaller change projects
  • Monitor carrier performance, including on-time delivery, cost, and service quality, highlighting areas for improvement, support implementation plans, as needed
  • Advance own competencies to succeed within the organisation and industry
  • Build awareness of compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including customs regulations and international trade laws
  • Supporting the Import, Shipping and Transport Managers, to improve the overall customer (DC’s, ecommerce customers, stores, wholesale) delivery experience by providing consolidated reporting – carrier reporting with in-house reporting comparisons
  • Consolidate reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to carrier performance, cost, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CS to ensure accurate reporting on customer satisfaction in line with carrier CX reporting

What You'll Need:

  • Strong excel and ppt skills
  • Ambition and drive to deliver assignments on time and to schedules
  • Spot opportunities through data and reporting analysys, and highlighting of exceptions
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams, building relationships within functions across a complex logistics operation, global organisation, Brand Partners and Carrier Partners
  • Able to communicate and influence to get input from external teams and partners
