Tutor
Are you passionate about making a real difference in children's lives? Do you have experience working with students who have had large gaps in their education and may be disengaged? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate tutor to work with children who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). These students may need extra support to catch up on missed learning, re-engage with their education, and build confidence in their abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored tutoring sessions to meet individual needs
- Developing engaging and creative lessons to re-engage students with learning
- Supporting students with their social, emotional, and academic development
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to learning
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with children who have additional learning needs, particularly those with EHCPs
- Understanding of the challenges faced by students who have missed significant periods of education
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to building trust with disengaged students
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with parents and professionals
