Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK, this is their biggest factory employing over 500 people. Due to growth within the site, they are looking for a number of experienced HGV Technicians to maintain their fleet of HGV, LGV vehicles and trailers.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Working in a team of X10 HGV Technicians
- Carry out servicing, repairs, MOT inspections to a fleet of 120 HGV rigid & artic vehicles
- Make sure services are in line with company VOSA and DVSA standards
- Use software based diagnostic equipment to repair faults
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs to fleet vehicles and trailers
- Ensure all inspection, repair job cards and service records are up to date at end of shift
- Maintain the upkeep of the operators licence
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a HGV Technician
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Craft / HGV Maintenance
- Knowledge of HGV inspections and service scheduling
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & servicing skills
- Able to work effectively & efficiently to complete DVSA MOT / VOSA requirements
- Expected to drive vehicles around - ideally have a Class 1 or 2 HGV Licence
- Beneficial to have experience of working on DAF or IVECO HGV's
- Good time management, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Must be physically fit - with no major medical conditions
