Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Line IT Support Analyst with expertise in SQL and experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009/2018 and ideally Business Central. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Business Applications support team, providing advanced troubleshooting, system analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues related to our enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

Advanced Technical Support:

  • Provide second-level technical support for incidents and service requests related to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, NAV 2018 and other business systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.

Database Management:

  • Utilise strong SQL skills to manage and optimise databases associated with NAV 2009, NAV 2018 and Business Central.
  • Perform data migrations, backups, and recovery tasks.

System Analysis and Enhancement:

  • Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to understand requirements and provide technical insights for system enhancements.
  • Propose and implement improvements to optimize system performance and functionality.

Upgrade and Migration:

  • Participate in NAV upgrade projects, Change Requests and ensuring smooth transition from NAV 2009 to Business Central.
  • Participate in new store back office server, PC and till builds.
  • Execute data migrations and verify data integrity during the upgrade process.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and resolutions for internal knowledge base and knowledgebase up-keep.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members and end-users on technical aspects of SQL, NAV, retail processes and Business Central.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, 3rd parties, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users to gather information, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent, in an IT related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Analyst with a focus on business systems. Supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009/2018, Business Central, or similar ERP implementations.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and database management.
  • Experience with system upgrades, migrations, and data integrity checks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with various teams and end-users.
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications would be a plus.

Location: Our newly refurbished state of the art Head office in Tankersley

Salary: £30'870

Hours: 40 hours per week 08:30-5:00pm Monday-Friday 4 days in the office , one day from home.
