Job Title: Part-Time Health & Safety Manager/Officer Location: Wolverhampton Salary: Competitive, based on experience Hours: 3 days per week (Flexible) We are an established M&E Contractor based in Wolverhampton, looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager/Officer to join our team on a part-time basis.
This role is perfect for someone seeking flexibility while playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal and industry standards.
Conduct risk assessments, ensuring that potential hazards are identified and controlled. Perform regular site visits to ensure safety standards are adhered to, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Investigate accidents and incidents, producing detailed reports and recommendations for improvements.
Liaise with project managers and site teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors. Maintain health and safety records, including accident reports, training logs, and risk assessments.
Ensure all relevant certifications, such as permits and safety documentation, are up to date. Stay updated with new health and safety legislation and best practices, advising the company accordingly. Key Requirements: Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within the M&E sector is essential.
Strong knowledge of risk assessments, site safety, and safety regulations. Ability to conduct site inspections and implement safety measures effectively. NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualifications preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and report-writing skills.
