We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker specialized in Assessment and Child Protection to join our dynamic social care team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safeguarding children and supporting their families through complex social issues.
The successful candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge in child welfare policies, assessment methodologies, and protective services. You will play a crucial part in conducting thorough assessments of children and families, ensuring well-being and safety is prioritized.
Your expertise will enable you to formulate comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective care plans that address the needs of those involved. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including families, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement agencies, will be a key component of your role, ensuring a holistic approach to care is maintained.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments for children and families in need of support and intervention.
Develop and implement risk management plans that prioritize child safety and well-being.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and educational professionals, to ensure coordinated service delivery.
Facilitate family meetings and deliver guidance to parents to promote stability and healthy family dynamics.
Prepare detailed case reports and documentation for court proceedings as required.
Monitor and review progress of child protection plans, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.

Provide emotional support and counseling to children and their families to assist them in navigating complex issues.

Requirements
A recognized degree in Social Work and valid social work qualifications.
Minimum of two years' experience in child protection and family support services.
Strong understanding of legislation and local safeguarding policies related to children.
Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify risk and protective factors.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidimensional team and establish effective partnerships.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Hours Per Week: 37.00

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £30.15

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
