Senior Building Surveyor
Our client is an award winning building design consultancy currently experiencing a period of growth. With exciting new projects on the horizon, they are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis. This role will be based at their site either in Northallerton or Otley and will offer hybrid working options.
As Senior Building Surveyor, you will play an essential part of a busy team, collaborating on diverse projects including refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance and new build projects alongside the team of Building Surveyors. Joining a company who actively encourage staff development, you will have a responsibility to mentor junior members of staff, providing them with help and advice where required.

About the Senior Building Surveyor Role
As Senior Building Surveyor you will use AutoCAD to produce plan, sections and detailed drawings for construction for refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance and new build projects.
Other responsibilities include:- Produce schedules of work and specifications using NBS software and other documentation.
- Produce, submit and manage planning, building regulation and listed building applications.
- Coordinate deliverables and work collaboratively with other disciplines.
- Visit sites to attend meetings, carry out inspections and surveys when required.
About You – The Senior Building Surveyor
As the Senior Building Surveyor, you will have post degree experience working as a Building Surveyor, with the ability to produce plans, sections and detailed drawings, specifications, schedules of works and other documents to high standards in conjunction with design disciplines.
Other requirements include:- Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD and NBS software.
- Ability to contract administration of construction contracts.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, completing some tasks using your own judgement.
- Experience mentoring and managing junior members of staff.
