Facilities Assistant
The Role
In this role you will be part of the Facilities team looking after the security of our facilities, setting up facilities for bookings and events, and maintaining and enhancing our spaces.
This is a manual role, including working at height, manual handling, and low-level technical work. You will be an integral part of the team that delivers a wide range of activities, events, and bookings for our students and staff throughout the year.
You will respond to any queries that arise during your shift, ensuring that you and the Students’ Union deliver the highest standards of service to our members.
The role will require you to undertake training to manage situations that may arise, including first aid, security, and fire warden training. You will be proficient to carry out hands-on duties including painting and basic DIY-type jobs to continually improve our facilities.
The role has weekly weekend and evening work until 22:30 on a rotating shift system.
About You
You will be able to deliver great customer service whilst undertaking a range of manual tasks, moving furniture, deliveries and generally setting up for events and activities.
Previous experience as a caretaker / porter / maintenance role would be advantageous.
