Children Care Assistant
Pay rate: £13.50 (Monthly Pay)
Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday 08:00am to 18:00pm
Wednesday - 07:00am to 17:00pm
Weekends - 10:00am to 20:00pm
Requirements: Previous children’s experience, and clinical experience but not essential.
We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Walsall. This person has a rare brain disorder, non-verbal global developmental delay and seizure activity. More interestingly they have a great sense of humour and have a wide range of hobbies such as swimming, visiting the farm and sensory rooms.To make the most of trips out and going to school, we need people who are local to Walsall and know the area, and can drive a car, holding a full UK Driving Licence.
Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, You will be required to provide full clinical needs whilst they are at school and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:
- Complex care
- Peg feeding or Tracheostomy
- Management of Seizures
What will your shift involve?
In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include Seizure management, peg feed via a tube, engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being.Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.
