About All Saints Catholic College

All Saints is an 11-16 school, situated near the northern boundary of Kirklees. We are a Catholic school with students attending from diverse cultural backgrounds, which contributes to the distinctive ethos. In November 2022, Ofsted judged All Saints “Good” in every category, and we received an “Outstanding” judgement from our S48 inspection by the Diocese of Leeds in June 2018.

About the role

This role is part-time and you will be working 3 days per week.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and inspirational in the classroom, and will make a substantial contribution to the further development of this ‘good’ school from Easter 2025 or sooner.

Having the qualities to motivate and inspire our students, and bring out the best in them, you will teach both at KS3 and KS4.

You will have strong classroom management skills, excellent subject knowledge and the ability to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students.

The ability to monitor and track the progress of students through data is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of the Maths team.

ECT candidates should have completed a PGCE or SCITT course and be looking to secure a good school to start their ECT induction.

As standard, we offer ongoing CPD both in-house and through the Calderdale & Kirklees Teaching Hub, covering all aspects of teaching, learning and leadership.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our College. In turn, we are looking for a candidate committed to playing a part in transforming the lives of our young people.

What we can offer you

At All Saints Catholic College, we aim to create a happy workplace culture through promoting a healthy work/life balance. We do that by providing a package of flexible employee benefits, including:

  • A high-quality wellbeing package including medical cover, counselling, physiotherapy, fast track medical cover, care service and a 24 hour GP-helpline.
  • Care First Advice - a 24/7 information and counselling service.
  • We are part of the Cycle to Work scheme. Tax free bikes and safety equipment can be payable by payroll deduction through a partnership with Cyclescheme.
  • Free parking

Eligible mathematics teachers can apply for up to £5,000 through the Government's Levelling Up payment scheme between September 2024 and March 2025 - for more information please visit: [...]

Application process

Please note, we do not offer visa sponsorship.

To apply for this position or for further information please visit our website https://www.aschc.co.uk/recruitment/.

Enquiries should be emailed to Miss C Taylor at hr@aschc.com.

Please note, we are unable to accept CVs as an application for any of our vacancies as this does not support our safer recruitment processes.

Interviews will take place w/c 27th January 2025.

All Saints is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Therefore, we expect all workers, volunteers and employees to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including online searches and a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Record with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children (where the role involves this type of regulated activity).

A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.

Due to the number of application forms we receive, we regret we can only contact shortlisted candidates.
